OSHUN
Oshun is an Orisha, kind of like a goddess, from Yoruba traditions. She’s all about love, beauty, and fresh water—think rivers and streams. People see her as caring, but also super powerful, with a vibe that’s both sweet and smart. She’s often connected to things like fertility, emotional healing, and self-love. Her favorite colors are yellow and gold, and people offer her honey, oranges, and pretty things like mirrors. She’s also linked to animals like peacocks. A big festival in her honor happens at the Osun River in Nigeria every year. In Afro-Caribbean religions, Oshun’s become a symbol of strength and self-acceptance, reminding people that joy and love are just as important as being tough.
